Our second day started with our first interaction with Heidenhain CNC machine. We saw and experienced the proper way to set the CNC for maximum precision. We learned two ways to do it. One with a probe and another with a normal milling tool combined with some basic math. Setting with a probe was much more precise and faster. After the break, we continued in the class, where we have written our first Heidenhain program which was very basic and allowed us to prepare the material for farther processing. Along with that, we have discussed some major differences between our school’s CNC-s and this one. After the classes, we had the rest of the day to our selves to explore the town, Czech culture and swimming in a nearby lake Jordan.
