Last day in Czech Republic

The day started as usual with us getting up at 6am eating our breakfast and heading to the company.

Today I was working with the CNC lathe. I was measuring the parts produced, checking them for imperfections and exchanging the tools on the machine.

In the evening we had a goodbye dinner at the medieval tavern in Housuv mlyn with Markéta and Viktor. After the dinner we were given the certificates for the attended CNC course and completed Erasmus+ project.

We said our goodbyes and headed for the dorm.

Third day in our companies

Today we started our day at 6.00 am. We had breakfast and then we went to the companies.

Today I worked in the quality and control department, where I checked if the parts that were produced, are okay.

We had free time after we came home, so we played cards, table football and basketball like every other day.

Second day in our companies

Most of us woke up at around 5.50 am, but our teachers came and knocked on our doors at 6 am, because they thought that we are still sleeping and they were in panic, but then we came out and they stoped panicking. We ate our breakfast, but sadly it wasn’t good.

Most of us needed to go from the dormitory at 6.30 am. Me and Tomaž started our work at 7 am, we did some interesting work, like repairing a generator for plasma machine, they showed us the programming in visual studio and we calibrated the 6-axis plasma machine with a robot arm. We worked until 3.30 pm and we came back to the dormitory at 4 pm.

In dormitory we had a dinner, which was in my opinion one of the best one here in Tabor. After the dinner, we rested for a bit and later we played basketball with Czech pupils, that live here in the dormitory.

The weather was good today, not so hot but it was sunny. I hope that tomorrow will be as great as today was.

Last day in the hosting school, but first day with our new professors

We began our day at 6.10 am, by being woken up from our prof. Vertuš. We still don’t know why so early, but the day started normal.

We had our breakfast, where we ate something unusual, “frutek”, which took us by suprise. Lectures began at 8 am, we did some programming like usual but at the end, we had an exam. It wasn’t difficult, because we learnt about this things during last week.

The lecturer gave us our products which we made a couple of days ago, so we can take them to school.

Our new professors are fine. A bit stricter than last two, but we will survive our last days just fine.

Day off

Today 16.6.2019 was a relaxing day for all of us. In the morning we had time to our selfs, then we went to Housův mlýn for lunch, we had potatoes, bacon and a steak. After that we were free to relax all day.

Recreation with a castle

At 8:01 our train to Češke Budejovice departs. We walk a short distance to a bus stop on the roof of a shopping area. The bus (it had Wi-Fi) took us to Hluboká and we went to a nearby castle, we went to the castles tower and afterwards we had lunch in a nearby place called Cave.

Castle Hluboká

After lunch( hamburgers and fries) we walked to a pool nearby, our organiser Marketa bought us tickets and we spent two hours and a half swimming, or sitting in the park playing cards. We walked a few minutes to a nearby sports place with paddle boards and we exercised for an hour before getting to the bus to the train station and riding back to our dorm.

On the way back a guy was bothering us with his attempts to get our phones. It is a fun story, he first asked normally for a phone for a call, but nobody wanted to give it to him, so he left. But then he came back to say to us, that the train we were on “wasn’t going to our empire”. We were weirded out by the saying, but didn’t give it much thought, but we got really annoyed. Then he came back saying he would die (I suppose if we wouldn’t want to give him the phone). Soon the conductor throws him out on the train station. We were told that he went and annoyed all the groups on the train. When we arrived to our station, we went with Marketa to buy some food for tomorrow’s breakfast.

Practice makes perfect

After breakfast we went to school, where we practiced programming the drawings that our instructor gave us. Then we tried those programs in on the CNC in pairs, so that all of us could try working on the machines. Then after school, we had some free time which we mainly spent on the internet, and after that we went out bed

Trip to Prague

Today we went to Prague. First of all we saw Plečnik’s church The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord, where we met czech group which we cooperated with in eTwining project. Than we also visited Prague castle and Charles Bridge.
